POSITION OVERVIEW

Due to continual expansion plans Discount Wheel and Tire is looking for a strong and proven Full Time Store Manager to join our rapidly growing team! This role is to control costs, managing profitability, training and developing the team of employees, maintaining the appearance of the facilities and ensuring proper operational procedures are followed. You will handle customer complaint resolution, daily customer interaction, coaching, directing the team, and executing at 100% of the service standard.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs all aspects of store operations including but not limited to shop, sales, office, and management.
  • Promote sales through explaining benefits of service and products to customers.
  • Perform all necessary sales duties per company policy and procedure; including, but not limited to proper pricing, knowledge and implementation of promotions and sales, suggestive selling, proper vendor check-in, stocking merchandise.
  • Responsible for staffing the store with adequate personnel, implementing training programs, and execution of all company programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Recommends the employment, discipline, wage adjustments, and termination of store personnel and conducts performance evaluations of all store employees within the store.
  • Provides guidance to staff in the resolution of difficult questions or customer concerns.
  • Conducts weekly store meetings to review safety issues, store policies, procedures, and product information changes as required.
  • Sets goals and strategies to ensure the successful accomplishment of budgeted sales goals, gross profit percentages, expense control, and payroll objectives.
  • Monitors employee productivity in accordance to established policy.
  • Responsible for maintaining all accounts receivable and the collections of past due accounts when necessary.
  • Responsible for proper documentation, filing, and payments of accounts payable to ensure proper tracking and maximum discounts.
  • Ensures prompt and consistent opening and closing of location based on store hours of operation.
  • Responsible for the processing of all adjustments.
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal regulations concerning all facets of job responsibilities and duties, and store operations.
  • Ensure proper work schedule is followed, and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, vendors and customers. Keep supervisor informed of any maintenance problems and/or any issues that need attention.
  • Properly train new employees and develop the skills of the team.
  • Safely operate customer vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Clean facilities, tools and equipment; and stock shelves.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Three years of experience in the retail or sales industry preferred
  • One year of sales or automotive shop environment experience required
  • Ability to stand 100% of the time during work shift.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred.
  • Must be able to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 75 pounds.
  • Job requires contact with hazardous materials, driving and working in adverse weather conditions.

POSITION OVERVIEW

A Tire Technician is responsible for the dismounting, mounting and balancing of all tires sold. The Tire Technician will also be required to install any other products sold in his/her store. General job functions include driving a customers vehicle onto the lift, adequately securing the vehicle prior to dismounting the tires and wheels and then reattaching all tires and wheels to ensure proper safe operation of the vehicle. Other duties include handling scrap (or take off tires) placing them neatly into the storage area, and many miscellaneous duties that you will be directed to perform. A Tire Technician must have the desire to perform above and beyond the requirements set forth in this job description.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

POSITION OVERVIEW

Discount Wheel and Tire is looking for a strong and proven Full Time Mechanic to join our rapidly growing team! This role is responsible for the efficient diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of vehicles along with replacement of general automotive parts and accessories. Partner with store management and the desk team to deliver superior service and education to customers on problems and proposed solutions for their vehicles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure a thorough safety and mechanical vehicle inspection is completed and documented in the work order system for every car assigned to him/her that comes into the shop.
  • Ability to communicate repairs that are necessary for the safety and operational efficiency of the vehicle to customers and management.
  • Recommends additional repairs and services pertaining to scheduled maintenance, vehicle enhancements, and/or upgrades as appropriate.
  • Conduct a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs; including but not limited to brakes, all tire related services, including mounting, balancing, and flat repairs, state safety and emissions testing (where required), fluid changes, steering and suspension, maintenance services, starting and charging. Responsible for securing vehicle during repairs and after repairs are completed.
  • Maintain technical capabilities to ensure proficient, safe use of service equipment. Interprets and applies technical instructions in diagram and text form.
  • Maintain company directed productivity, training development plan, and comeback performance levels.
  • Approachable and knowledgeable resource regarding technical matters related to installation and proper application of parts and accessories, while also providing accurate and effective direction, advice and assistance to service advisors, other technicians, commercial, retail and parts associates, management, and customers.
  • Partner with Management to produce a safe and healthy work environment that complies with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as with company policies and procedures. Expected to comply with loss prevention, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances.
REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Prior knowledge of tire related equipment and tools a plus valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum six months of related experience in the automotive service environment.
  • Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place merchandise and supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance.
